The Agricultural Industry Forum 2020 whose theme was Rethinking Agribusiness: Enhancing Effectiveness in Public-Private Partnerships” was hosted by the Agricultural Industry Network in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Co-operatives, the Council of Governors (CoG) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Other partners who supported the event included European Union, GIZ, World Vision, Embassy of Israel, Nairobi, Agriculture Food Authority (AFA), CABE, APRA, USAID, Feed the Future, Kenya Crops and Dairy Market Systems Activity and RTI, KUSCCO, Agriculture Council of Kenya (AgCK) and Kenya Agribusiness and Agro-Industry Alliance (KAAA). The Forum brought together business leaders and high-level policy makers from both National and County Governments, BMOs and Farmer Organizations, Local and International Agribusiness Firms, Financial Institutions, Academia, Civil Society, Organizations and Thought Leaders to discuss and develop concrete plans for enhancing the growth and performance of the Agribusiness Sector Kenya.

The Forum was officially opened by the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Co-operatives, Honorable Peter Munya and graced by several high-level guests including Ambassador Oded Joseph, Embassy of Israel, Dr. Mulat Demeke, FAO Representative in Kenya, Dr. Mathias Braun, Cluster Coordinator Agriculture and Rural Development, GIZ, Dr. Tom Carr, Chief of Party, RTI International,  Mr. Andrea Ferrero, EU representative and Ms. Caroline Kariuki, CEO KEPSA, Ms. Carole Kariuki, CEO KEPSA and Mrs. Jacqueline Mogeni, Chief Executive Officer. The official closing of the Forum and Exhibition was conducted by the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Prof. Hamadi Iddi Boga.

We wish to sincerely thank our primary partners the Kenyan Government, the Council of Governors and FAO as well as all our speakers, Delegates, Sponsors, Development Partners and Exhibitors who partnered with us by providing strategic and financial support. Our collective efforts and inputs ensured that the event was a great success. We are currently finalizing the development of actionable plans to ensure easy implementation by various stakeholders.
